True Learning Through Practice
Whether you aspire to teach Yoga or take your practice to a new level, the Viveka Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training at Bala Yoga offers a unique, personalized approach to guide you on your path.
Led by Dikla Kafka + Lara Ederer, this course will provide ongoing mentorship as you expand your knowledge of Yoga. Drawing on a rich tradition of lineages, including Ashtanga, Hatha, Restorative and Yin, we begin with the fundamentals and dive deep into the teachings of Asana, Pranayama, Subtle Body, Anatomy, Philosophy and Meditation. Viveka weaves over 30-hours of anatomy into the training, far more than the minimum required by Yoga Alliance, so that graduates leave as confident purveyors of intelligent movement. You will be guided on the skills to become a powerful & effective Yoga teacher, which includes purposeful sequencing, teaching skills and safe assists. Expect to graduate ready to teach Vinyasa or Hatha based classes.
You may find your one true path, or you may be called to explore many – we are here for you!
Both of your teachers are 500 Hour E-RYT and YACEP with Yoga Alliance with a combined 18 years of teaching experience. Viveka Yoga is a 200 and 500 hour certified school through Yoga Alliance and has trained over 60 teachers in the greater Seattle area since 2017.

ABOUT LARA EDERER
I was introduced to yoga in 2002 by a newly certified friend who needed practice students. Over the next several years I ventured in and out of the practice as well as different styles until I found her “home” in Vinyasa and Ashtanga traditions. I took my first abbreviated teacher training and teacher’s assisting program in 2011 at Shakti Vinyasa. In 2012 I completed my 200 Hour with Be Luminous with a primary focus in Power Vinyasa, Vinyasa, and Slow Flow. I have spent the last 3 years studying with my teacher Tiffany Cruickshank and Yoga Medicine, a school that is an adjunct to eastern and western medicine with a yogic component. In August, 2018 I completed my 500 hour advanced studies and added yin, restorative, myofascial release, therapeutics, internal medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, orthopedics, and cadaver dissection studies to my training experiences. I am also registered as a Therapeutic Specialist and am in the 1000 hour YTT with Yoga Medicine.
I teach at Bala Yoga, Ritual House of Yoga, TruFusion, Shakti Vinyasa, Yogabliss, and Verde Organic. I also teach privates, corporate yoga, anatomy trainings, and have filmed an online course for Yoga Medicine and Yogi Approved.
In addition to teaching, in 2014 I co-founded Yogalab Northwest, a community inspired organization that hosts international yoga teachers in the Seattle area. YLNW has hosted Sri Dharma Mittra, Kino Macgregor, Jason Crandell, Tiffany Cruickshank, Chris Chavez, Amy Ippoliti, CarmenAguilar, and we have several new teachers scheduled for 2020.
I have studied with many local and international master teachers and continue to be inspired by vastness that my students teach me as well. I am most definitely considered a yoga “anatomy nerd.”
