The human spine is a pillar of support and one of the most precious pathways in the body. In order to really truly show up for ourselves & our loved ones, we need a healthy backbone and an open heart. Explore what it means to embody just that in this 2-hour workshop with Naomi Huober that will bring your yoga backbends to life.
Backbends, when done with integrity, are one of the best ways to care for this critical part of ourselves, so that it will be healthy, supple and pain free for many years to come. We’ll begin with warm up & conditioning movements that help us find awareness through all 33 vertebrae while also prepping the body for back extension. From there, we will build heart opening poses in a way that is safe; supporting healthy curves of the spine, prioritizing strength, and creating space throughout the torso.
Open to all, this workshop will build step-by-step, allowing for yogis of all levels to find a place to work. There will be an opportunity to explore and play with deeper variations for those who are ready to progress. This event will be taught in a workshop format.
