Matcha 3 Ways

June 4 2017

Matcha: the obsession is real. A perfectly antioxidant-rich zing of what your body needs. Drink it straight, or load it into a tonic with added benefits for the body. Drink it first thing in the morning, post exercise, or as a nightcap dessert. Matcha goes anytime, anywhere, offering a potent dose of healing whenever you need.

The Benefits of Matcha

What is Matcha?

Matcha is made of green tea leaves that have been dried and crushed down into a powder. Because you ingest the leaf rather than drink its tea, Matcha delivers a higher potency of antioxidants & nutrients over regularly brewed green tea.

What are the benefits of Matcha?

  • Antioxidants including the powerful EGCg
  • Is rich in fiber, chlorophyll and vitamins
  • Provides vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium
  • Detoxifies effectively and naturally
  • Calms the mind and relaxes the body

For Gut Health:

Cleanse your gut with ginger, and rebuild the gut flora with a probiotic powder. Because many digestion issues are stress related, we add reishi, an adaptogenic mushroom that helps balance the endrocrine system + boosts immunity.

Brewing Tips

  • Heat your milk or water in a tea-pot, removing from heat before the whistle goes off. Temp your liquid, and get it to 98F. You can add cold milk/water to cool it down.
  • Using a blender, add all ingredients, including matcha.
  • Add milk or water base and blend for 1-2 minutes, so it gets nice and foamy.
  • Using a blender over the whisk will save you time and manpower.
