Our busy lives can leave us feeling like we need to relax, let go and take time for self-care. This unique 2.5 hour workshop offers you time to settle into long-held supported poses relieving tension in the body and allowing us to feel at ease. Dr. Kerbs Acupuncture treatments will assist us in “letting go” in our poses. Soothing scents will deepen our relaxation. Restorative Yoga is appropriate for all practitioners, including beginners. Join us for an afternoon of relaxation, quiet and healing. Please dress in layers and wear loose comfortable clothing.
Pamela Chang is a senior yoga teacher, specializing in the quieter practices of yoga such as Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Intro to Yoga wrokshops and Yoga Nidra. As a teacher, Pam encourages students to follow their own path, finding balance between accepting themselves as they are and pushing their limits. She is committed to bringing joy, understanding and kindness to every class. Her goal is to guide others to finding happiness from within and to show everyone that they are already perfect and whole. Pam is grateful for the opportunity to share yoga with others.
Dr. Kerbs has a doctoral degree in Chinese medicine and he is a licensed acupuncturist in Washington State. He holds a national certification for massage therapy and his areas of knowledge also include Ayurveda, Naturopathic, homeopathic and nutritional medicine. When interviewed recently he was asked why he chose the road less traveled in medicine and his reply was, “I chose alternative medicine because it doesn’t seem alternative to me. With the medicine I practice I get to treat the whole person not just the symptoms. Originally, this philosophy came from ancient Chinese medicine but now it is part of an amalgam in me and I do not differentiate myself from it.” Dr. Kerbs is a certified teacher of Qi Gong and practices yoga four times per week.
