Yoga and Ayurveda are deeply intertwined branches of Vedic wisdom. When practiced together these powerful sciences provide a complete approach to optimal health and wellbeing.
This unique 2 hour workshop will allow us to explore ourselves in a new way, through the practices of Ayurveda. Pam will introduce you to Ayurveda, a holistic system of living from India. Its aim is to provide guidance regarding lifestyle so that healthy people can stay healthy and folks with health challenges can improve their health. You will learn about the three constitutions, or doshas (Kapha, Pitta, Vata), and take a quiz to learn more about your individual constitution.
We will also address some of the imbalances of each dosha and how our health is impacted by these imbalances. Diet, digestion, and lifestyle habits (including sleep, yoga practice, and exercise) will also be addressed in the context of returning one to balance. By the end of the workshop, students should have a basic understanding of Ayurveda and wellness enhancing practices that can lead to and sustain improved health.
Learning just a little about Ayurveda has changed Pam’s life, allowing her a peacefulness that she never knew she could obtain.
